Strange Anomaly #1
They drive on the left side! Alright most of you already knew that, but it still takes some getting used to. I am just glad that at major intersections, they have painted on the ground Look Left or Look Right. The driver is on the right side, but the stick shift is still in the middle with the brake and gas pedals in the same location to the driver as well, go figure.

I was so thankful for those signs painted on the street when I was in London, and yet even though they were there, I think my sister had to pull me out of oncoming traffic several times. I'm happy to read that everything with your flat is perfect and that you're enjoying your new home. I can't wait to visit next year.

For me it wasn't the crossing of the street that was dangerous, it was the bikes that would "lane split" all the time. I was forever forgeting about them and almost getting into an "effective" meeting with one.

Even though they drive on the left side, when you are walking, they walk on the right side of you, like you are driving in the states.
We hope to someday get bikes and we will have to watch out for that lane split!
